Welcome to full-day workshop with Visual Studio 2013 ALM

February 6th Solidify will be arranging a full-day deep-dive workshop together with LabCenter in Stockholm.

We will start by planning work using an agile process such as Scrum or Kanban. We will also show how to handle more traditional requirements using Microsoft tools as well as the third party product inteGREAT. We will also show how to handle multiple teams in TFS when scaling up development.

Next step is developing the application while maintaining trackability and high code quality. We will also use news within Visual Studio such as Git and CodeLens.

In order to use the product we are developing it will have to be testable. We will set up testing environments using Visual Studio Lab Management and look at how to use Windows Azure to management our test labs and production environments. With these environments we will then set up build, packeting and deployment solutions. In order to install the product we will use the new solution Microsoft Release Management.

After development it’s time to test what developers have checked in. We will show both manual and automated tests and go through news within testing, such as the new web interface for testing.

Finally we will go through how to use instrumentation of code and features for production to get knowledge of how the solution is working using Microsoft Application Insights.
